## Questions & Answers

**Q: Is this really cast iron or just mild steel? The description is ambiguous, but implies proper cast iron which is a completely different to steel.**
A: It's listed as whole package 3.5kg... Impossible to be cast iron. I did the maths, even a flat circle, only 5mm high, at 50cm diameter would be 15kg. And a bowl would be even more, having more mass. Cast iron is 7300kg/cubic metre.

**Q: Some users find it is broken on arrival, or after single use. Is it replaced under a 'warranty'?**
A: You need to contact the supplier. If it arrived damaged, you should have notified Amazon straight away. Mine is perfect and has been of great use.

**Q: what lasts longer steel or cast iron?**
A: Cast iron has better corrosion resistance than steel. Both metals oxidize in the presence of moisture, but iron develops a patina to prevent deep corrosion of the metal's integrity. 
It will crack a lot easier though. Our bowl has done so. Still works several years later

**Q: How good is this for burning ordinary logs (such as you would use in a wood-buring stove)?  Do they stay alight and burn right through?**
A: We used logs that we have for our wood burner. Burnt really well very pleased with it

Great for garden in the summer, spring, autumn. Large Dish, low stand which holds the dish secure. It’s an OPEN FIRE. Does not have a guard on top, ease to assemble, light and gives of a good amount of heat. Wife loves it, very cosy and great addition for those want to enjoy fresh air, in the warmth.Hot chocolate or Wine anyone?

The media could not be loaded. Really good value for money,It isn't too big which is great if you want to move it around. Perfect for my garden to be honest.If I had a bigger space, I'd probably look for a bigger bowl size. But by far the best fire pit I've had and for the price, it's just brilliant.Fires start easy no issues whats so ever.Weathered fine too. All adds to the character.
