As I said, I wouldn't put these (or ANY) plastic lids in the dishwasher, so that's not a problem for me. I mean, seriously, it takes 20 seconds to wash a lid by hand. I really like these bowls but don't recommend putting lids in the dishwasher. **Q: are these sturdy enough to be used as mixing bowls or are they better as storage bowls?** A: I would use an electric hand mixer, but yes you could use them as mixing bowls. **Q: How can I restore the lead once it has been microwaved it got all bent up?** A: I would put it in the sink with very hot water let it sit for a while and see if you can bend it back into shape **Q: Can you freeze food in them?** A: I did not like frozen foods kept in the container.
