The foil is designed to reflect heat and will create a temperature differential between the aluminized side and non-aluminized side of the fabric. Please be sure to face the aluminized side of the fabric towards the heat source. **Q: Can we use this as Barrier between different fluids ? say water and oil.** A: Fluids will degrade the material's performance. We do NOT recommend using this material as a barrier for fluids. **Q: Could this product be placed between sheet aluminum and wood to shield the wood from a nearby heat source?** A: It's difficult to say without having a more detailed description of the application.
