(I'm working in limestone and other porous rock.} However, I had some trouble with the more refined grits when I tried to get a polish on the surface of the rock and bring the color out. Even when wetting I noticed the stone surface began to blacken. I need more practice, obviously. As an alternative, I polish up to the 200 grit and then apply finishing wax (for wood) to the stone surface; this not only brings out the color, but also creates a dull sheen that is very attractive. OK, thanks for the info and I thought that was the end since I returned the product. Then few days later I receive duplicate of my order with correct size thread on the adapter plate. Now that I did not expect, this is a first company that has gone this far to correct a problem, for that I give you 10 stares if I could. As for the power of the marble cutting disks they are still dull and do not seem to grind the marble. I do have enough of water so I'm not cutting dry, I don't know I might be not using the disks correctly.
