Unlike the picture, the actual necklace is very dainty. The heart pendant with the initial is also very small and about the size of a rice grain. The pendant has the initial on both sides. The gold tone of the necklace is very believable. My necklace fits like a choker, but comfortably. I assume that the necklace as shown on Amazon was magnified for the prospective purchaser to see the necklace's detail. I liked the heart with the intial and the thin, gold chain based on the picture, so I did not read the product description prior to purchase.
