I needed it quickly for the fractured 4th & 5th Metacarpal bones in my right hand and it arrived less than 24 hours after I had ordered it which was very impressive. The splint works well it supports my injured hand/ fingers very well indeed and offers great protection to immobilize the injured part. I can still use my thumb, index & middle fingers to do light things like typing this review. be sure to measure your hand as per instructions before ordering S M or L. When I first unpacked this item it looked a bit confusing and instructions wording can be misinterpreted so I would recommend a family member without an injury to practise on how to fit it first so that when you have become accomplished at taking on and off it is easily and smoothly fitted to your injured hand with the minimum of fuss and therefore minimising the risk of exacerbating the pain of this type of injury. after wearing for a few hours, the only downside I have found is that the base of thumb can get a bit chaffed if you tighten the wrist fastening too much. I have remedied this by putting a lint pad under the base of my thumb to cushion it and loosened this wrist fastening a little. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase.
