So far, so good. I actually bought this for what is probably a rather unique purpose. We raise registered cattle and collect birth weights on each calf the day it is born. I have a sling made of carpet samples, some cord, and a couple of rings used as an attachment point. We had been using a mechanical hanging scale, but that required taking a tractor or truck where the scale could be attached free hanging at a point high enough to clear the ground and lifting the calf and sling to place it on it.With this luggage scale, I can position the sling and then just clip the rings like a handle and pick it up. It can be a struggle to read the changing numbers while holding a 80 pound calf off the ground and away from your body. I wish, like instant read thermometers, this had a display that showed the highest weight recorded between resets. I also wish the "handle" was a little longer on the display side, sometimes I worry it will slip out of my hand on the short side.Time will tell how durable this unit will be with repeated use on heavier loads, the plastic housing seems to "give" a little when I hook up a big calf. Most weigh in the 70-80 lb range (largest I have done to date with this scale is 88), but occasionally we may approach this scale's stated limit of 50kg (110 lbs).It is very nice to be able to walk out in field and only carry this light weight instrument and the sling and know I am getting accurate weights, I did use it on a bucket of feed in the barn the day it arrived and the weight recorded for that 30 lb bucket was spot on with what my other scales were reading.

This kind of device is a must have for those who travel by air and at $6.79 during a lightning deal that is a bargain. Even at regular price $7.99 it will save money compare to just one excess baggage fee at the airport that usually starts at $25 and above.Anyway I have several "candy bar" style electronic scales over the years, this one has all the right stuff: lb/kg interchange, weight reading that locked once the weighing is stabilized, a buckle that you loop around luggage handle (better than a little metal bracket that you wrap around handle and latch onto the metal triangle). Compact and lightweight design.Putting in batteries (included) the polarities are not apparent. They are actually marked just on the outside of battery compartment (blended into the black background) you just have to look for it.Reserving one star for long term use as well as actually checking in airport for weight accuracy.

Prior to this, I had a similarly sized and priced luggage scale which sucked. Build quality of that was alright, but it's functionality was lacking. It had inconsistent weight readings and was hard to setup. This on the other hand is much easier and more reliable. Just plop in the batteries and turn it on. You can easily switch between weight units. The best part is the look hook which makes hanging heavier and weirdly shaped luggage handles much easier to hold and weigh. While I'm sure that many of these scales are just rebranded generics (lots of amazon's offerings are similar), I chose this one because it was priced the lowest and included batteries.Hope this quick review helps.

Fairly easy to use. The included instructions were pretty clear..Only problem was trying to hold the item to be weighed steady was difficult. The display would not lock, BUT ... you can get a reading by looking at the (using pounds) the whole number and ignoring the changing digits to the right of the decimal point. Comparing the weight of this digital scale and the weight of our balance beam scale, the readings were right on (definitely within 1 pound). I weighed 2 bags, one 17 lbs and the other 34 lbs. Both scales indicated 17+ and 34+ pounds respectively. So we have no complaints with the results.

This scale is a must have in my opinion if you're not looking for precise accuracy. The inaccuracy is only by a few ounces, and it varies depending on how much weight is being lifted with it. So far with all the tests I've done it never gets to half a pound inaccuracy, always less than that. This is why the 4 stars, but overall, I'm very pleased with this scale.

I always get anxious when flying and checking my bag. I like to take lots of things with me and I have more than once had to rearrange items to meet the 50lbs max weight. I ordered this to ease my concerns, but when I used it at home and compared to the scale at the airport this was off by about 3 lbs. Thankfully I used the SkyCap (that usually looks the other way when bags are slightly over 50lbs). I am not sure if I can calibrate this scale......if not I will have to estimate the weight....yet again.

the display went out. Changed batteries and still no fix, so gave 2 stars since it did work and I didn't lose much money. It was a good value until it quit working. Increased to 4 Stars based on Excellent Customer Service. They proactively responded and no-hassle replacement.

This was a free gift add-on for me... It does weigh things rather accurately, it just feels rather fragile... With that said, for the price it's listed for, this item will do what it's intended to do... It's a bit awkward to hold it when your weighing items, it could potentially be a good addition to a tackle box...
