A low insertion force makes them the fastest, easiest, no-twist push-in connector on the market. It has low insertion force for a fast and easy connection in the field and the compact size makes installation easy. They each have a clear shell that gives the user visual verification of connection. It is UL listed to 486C and CSA certified to C22.2 #188. The Ideal 30-1034J In-Sure Push-In Wire Connectors shells are rated to 105 degrees Celsius.

Review: Convenient and easy to use - These are great and greatly improved the speed and efficiency in rewiring my house. I ran some 12-2 up a conduit from an outdoor panel into a smaller box in the attic space and cut them off there. Then I used these connectors to extend the lines from the attic boxes to different outlets and circuits throughout the attic. For a one-man job, this worked great to run multiple lines from the outside and then run multiple lines on the inside without the need for going in-and out on every run.
Review: Easy and Nearly Foolproof - These are cheaper than the increasingly popular lever lock connectors but for most situations they work just as well. Advantages: 1) They are truly easy to use and need little skill. Strip to the right length and push into place. 2) The resulting connection is easily inspectable. The clear housing allows you to be absolutely sure that you have inserted the conductor in adequately and stripped the insulation adequately but no excessively. 3) The connection is very robust and resistant to flexing and tugging when connections are pushed into a tight box. Drawbacks: 1) These don’t work well for stranded wires, especially finely stranded as are sometimes used for light fixtures. 2) While these connections are certainly reusable (both the connector and the individual wires can be reused without resetting anything or restripping wires) they are not as easy to take apart as lever lock connections or traditional wire nuts. Typical of most connector types: 1) They are safety agency rated 2) The quality of construction is consistent and high. **Q: What is the ampacity?**
A: The ampacity will match the wire -- so, since these are rated for 12 AWG wire, at least 20 A.

**Q: Are these safe with indoor 10-3 wire? The wire fits in the slot nicely. Windering about heat.**
A: I am not sure what amperage these are rated for. #10 wire is rated for 30 amps. I don't like to use this style of connector for anything over 15 amps. Just my personal limit for the friction style connector. I have replaced too many push-in style outlets because of loose wires.

**Q: Do these work with 14 gage solid wire**
A: They work with 14 and 12 gage solid wire Not stranded

**Q: Do they work with stranded wire?**
A: No not very easily with this model.  There is a model made for stranded wire.
