I don't think it will hold water enough for that idea. My kids use it for all kinds of small bugs. **Q: Can I get replacement corner attachments?We received this today and my sons love it but the corner pieces popped off while outside** A: Same. I don't think they sell the corners separately. I used a little hot glue to keep everything together, just make sure it's hot glue NOT super glue. Super glue has a chemical reaction to the plastic and it not only destroys the plastic but gasses any bugs put in it, learned that the hard way **Q: How big are the holes?
