I started using the RS66's in the 60's. I play guitar and mandolin as well, and for the last 3 years I had no bass gigs. Now I do. I have some weakness in my right arm and saw that RS makes a medium-light gauge (.90 low E) and decided to try them, they sound just as good and, after adjusting my bridge for the lighter gauge, they play perfectly and sound great. It was a YouTube clip with Chris Squire that made me investigate the other gauges. He used the original gauge but his hands are incredibly huge.
