We bought it to place in the bathroom while our aging mom is showering. If she needs us, we can hear her calling us. The mic is very sensitive. This is a good thing. We can even hear her breathing (and humming sometimes). We can hear when the water is shut off, so we know when she's done and about to come out. The quality of the cases is very good. We've dropped them several times and no issues. We are not so impressed with battery life. We have it on for maybe 30 minutes at a time and we have to charge the receiver after several uses. It's not a deal breaker, but we just have to make sure we charge it frequently. Perhaps another issue related to the battery - there is a light that glows red when charging. However, even after 12 hours of charging the light is still red. I would think it should turn green like nearly all other items you need to charge. Nope, this charging light NEVER glows green! So, how do we know when the receiver is completely charged?
