I did have to reduce the height of the unit and was able to cut 1” off the top and bottom of the door. If your like me and need one of these units a couple inches shorter be confident in knowing it will work and still hold its structural integrity

Very happy with the barn door. It took me about 1 hour for the install. I did have to reduce the height of the unit and was able to cut 1” off the top and bottom of the door. This looks great we had issues with being able to hit studs in the predrilled holes which is why I deducted a star. I wish the bar had just come solid without holes predrilled because now we are left with extra empty holes and it looks incomplete. We also had an issue on one side with the bolts hitting the door frame which we resolved by recessing the bolts into the door. I didn’t deduct any stars for this because honestly this may have just been an issue from our builders and the way they did the frame. Over all for the quality this is crazy. For this price you couldn’t buy the materials and hardware to make it yourself without paying at least double what this whole kit cost. I was SHOCKED to find it’s made from real solid wood and is HEAVY! We added a mirror on top of ours and let me tell you that thing isn’t going anywhere!
