**Q: Are these anything like the old 512s that Levis stopped making about 7 years ago? My husband hasn't had a pair of jeans he has liked since!**
A: The old 512's were made with 14 oz denim; these are made with lighter cotton and lycra (or something similar) to provide some stretch.  These fit in the waist and hip the same as the old 512's and the rise is comparable, but these are tapered much more than the older version.  As a guy, I too liked the old 512's.  I have several pairs of the new ones and like them a lot because they are sufficiently tapered that you can wear them tucked into boots without having the fabric "blouse" at the top.  If you wear them over boots, the boot shaft would have to be narrow, although there is some stretch. However, they are not as "heavy" as the old version.  The closest thing to the old version is to take a pair of 505's (or Lee regular fit jeans) and taper the legs to the degree desired.

**Q: Which one is black?**
A: The "Pinhead Rinse", "Noise Addict", and "Avenger" are all different shades of black.  I own the pinhead rinse, which I love.

**Q: What ibseam length am i if i wear 32 by 30 in jeans?**
A: 30

**Q: Is levis no longer making black jeans? i see none, and i've never heard of these colors. levis are all i've ever worn. hoping this isn't the end.**
