I was amazed how much water is released from the clean out sessions of the spin out mechanism. Based on recommendations I opted for the 50micron filter. I am filtering well water that tested for high water hardness (425 ppm), and negative for other targeted problems. The filtered water has brought good tasting and clear and clean water to our house. I chose the spin down filter with the Siliphos to reduce scaling. It is located in front to the 3 part filtering system, and an ISpring Electronic Descaler is added after the 3 part system.
