Out of MANY headphones (1 of which is bluetooth), and 3 sets of earbuds/IEMs, no matter what, despite any volume or gain.. these specifically output audible noise. I don't own the M50x anymore, but none of my Beyerdynamics have it.. (990, 700 Pro X, 900 Pro X and 1999). And people can try blaming this on my amp all they want.. unfortunately I do have multiple devices, and this audible noise (like a low pitched static) is there regardless of what they're plugged into or what the gain/volume are set to.. common factor there is the earbuds.. --I realize I'm answering a very old question, its more for anyone who may run into this in the future.. send them back.. **Q: What is mic used for** A: You use it to record or capture audio for a call or other purpose.
