## Questions & Answers

**Q: The shredder will be used for preparing mixed garden waste ready for composting so will it cope with green waste as well as woody waste?**
A: Difficult to say with any certainty. I haven't had mine long and it sounds like we are doing a similar thing. 

It is the best shredder I have ever had for woody waste, it will take fresh Phormium leaves and I put eucalyptus branches with lots of leaves on and they went straight through no bother, as does dried off herbaceous plant matter. Very soft or wet stuff is difficult to get into the machine and Pampas plumes block the discharge shoot almost immediately. 
I am still learning what it will and won't do but on the whole I love it!
It took me an hour to put together but mostly because having built it I had dismantle it again because when I got to the end I realised that nowhere in the instructions does it mention fitting the battery box, which you have to sling under the chassis with the same bolts that hold the engine above it!

**Q: what type of battery is used?  Does this charge when the machine is running?  Can it be charged from an external source?**
A: It is a Lithium ion battery. It is charged when the engine is running and can also be charged with an external trickle charger.

A: It has a key start supported by a battery instead of a pull cord start.

**Q: Will the shredder take hedge cuttings?**
A: Yes upto 50mm dia

The machine arrived promptly in two boxes both of which were damaged, however the contents were ok.Build up quite easily, although the spanner that was in the box was the wrong side being much too big for the bolts. I had all the right tools in the garage so this was not a problem.I have used this a couple of times and so far it has worked well and feels like a good quality, robust machine. Even though it is compact it is quite heavy. Thankfully the wheels make it easy to move around.Good quality product

This is by far one of the best purchases I’ve made in a long time. It’s ace! A very useful shredder. It’s powerful and easy to use as well as very satisfying! A proper big boys toy. :-)It was easy to put together and I don’t think it’s very heavy at all to move around.The company were superb!
