Philips BT2500B/37 Wireless Portable Speaker

Wow! Just got this today; can't speak for its longevity, but I am seriously impressed with this little speaker. First off, the construction seems pretty solid and the feel of the speaker is comfortable and sturdy in my hand. It's also small enough to fit easily in a bag or pocket for great portability. I love the large volume control. Second, the ease of Bluetooth connectivity is a plus; had no trouble linking up my iPad and iPhone in a matter of seconds. Now thirdly, this little speaker is loud for its size; I was very impressed with how well it sounded. It was better than I expected; balanced and smooth. It won't work at a big party, but for small entertaining and having music around the house, it passes the test with me! I'm loving this purchase! Now, on the critical side, while the phone answering feature is simple & easy, you need the volume up high to really hear the call. That's my only complaint, but it's not a big deal to me; I wanted this for entertainment. It does that greatly. I like this better than the Oontz Angle (I have both), I think.

Bought this for a hard of hearing 94 year old. This is her second one. Works great.

Took only a few minutes of charging to get Bluetooth recognition. I'll probably keep the USB cable plugged in permanently since I've read reviews where this is an issue. Primary use is to listen to music on my iPhone5s while working on my computers. Speaker sound isn't high quality but it's better than the speaker on my phone for sure and I only need some background music - wasn't looking for super quality here.I also purchased an Ugreen Slim This 3.5 mm audio cable as backup. Sound volume is better with the direct connection cable but fine with Bluetooth. I'm a bit hard of hearing and phone reception in my area isn't the best with AT&T so I'm anxious to use it for telephone conversations in a hands-free mode. Kind of hard to hold phone and still work at my computer.Update: Just tried the unit with a telephone conversation. Pretty bad. I had to turn the volume all the way up and hold it up to my ear and it was still very faint. Phone isn't 2 feet from the unit. Music on the phone did pause like it's supposed to and picked up when the call was over. May have to try an earpiece Bluetooth unit. Oh well, music is still good.

And I didn't want to pay $100.This little speaker does the trick. It seems a bit pricey at first, but compared to other bluetooth speakers on the market, and given the quality of its design and the great sound, it's totally worth it.

This speaker is just what I wanted. I was looking for something small & portable to use mainly with my phone, but also with my laptop. With my phone, I just wanted more volume and a bigger, better sound. This does all that. I listen to a lot of spoken audio files and this is great for that. For music, it's great within its limitations. Face it, this is a real small speaker, so you won't get deep, earth shaking bass out of it. I've tried it with all types of music, including hard rock/metal, and the sound is really good vs the size of the speaker. Bluetooth is easy to connect. The large volume knob is a welcome change from all those tiny push buttons most portable speakers seem to have. There's also an input jack for non-bluetooth devices. Not bad for $32!In conclusion, if you are looking for a decent sounding speaker that you can easily put in your laptop bag/back pack/purse, this is a great choice!

I'm disappointed with it because the quality of the sound is less than expected.

Picked this up for future use in a baby's nursery, with an older, deactivated phone to play lullabies and such. Until my wife and I finally get pregnant and have our first child, though, I wanted something to play music through while I shower or clean our apartment.Charging isn't terribly fast, but I've found that the unit can go a fair amount of time on a single charge, so I just occasionally charge it overnight or while I'm away at work.Pairing was fast and easy with my Galaxy S5. I didn't really think the NFC that comes with the larger model was necessary, and at least for me I was right. It paired in seconds, and it takes two seconds max any time I turn on Bluetooth on my S5 for a connection to be made, And unlike with a Jabra headphone adapter I have, there's no issues so far with playback hiccups.Volume is more than satisfactory. I usually don't have to take it past halfway for anything I'm doing, and it sounds nice and clear.Overall, a great little unit for anyone looking for a simple Bluetooth speaker in a small package.

Very easy to set up and the sound is very good! Good buy!I see the review about the recharge battery? I am kind of scared that when and how long It will stop working!Update 2019 June I haven’t using it for half year now, because I cant recharge it. The inside piece connects to the usb cord is broken I guess, because I tried several plugs which all works fine. I wasted my money!

La compré en oferta y llegó en semana y media aprox, la verdad es que desde que la abrí te llevas una grata sorpresa, los materiales son de muy buena calidad, el tamaño es realmente compacto (cabe en la palma de tu mano) y el sonido es muy bueno considerando que es una bocina pequeña, a volumen medio obtienes una muy buena calidad de sonido ya cuando le subes mucho si se escucha medio mal, lo unico que podria decir en contra es que la bateria no tiene el mejor rendimiento pero unas tres horas si te da sin ningun problema!Funciona perfecto con cualquier dispositivo con Bluetooth incluso con la Echo Dot

El precio es competitivo comparado con otros productos similares, el sonido es bastante alto tomando en cuenta el tamaño, sin embargo (obviamente) el sonido no es de la mejor calidad, ya que se comienza a distorsionarse ligeramente desde un volumen medio-alto. En cuanto a practicad es ideal para llevarlo a todos lados, la batería tiene una duración media, pero basta con cargarlo un rato para poder escucharlo unas horas. El diseño es un extra. Definitivamente lo recomendaría.
