I am sure this jack will last a long time. **Q: With long neck attached, and jack all the way down, what is the height???** A: The height is 9 1/4"+ a fraction. If you want to say 9 3/8" to be on the safe side you should be good. **Q: Is there a longer neck I can buy for it?** A: No, there isn't. But a longer neck would be dangerous because the higher the neck, the less stable the jack base. You can increase its lift by putting the jack wheels on a board or a plank on the ground; for example, a 2" by 6" by 30" long board would give you almost 2 more inches in height as well as maintaining a stable base. This is not a heavy duty jack to begin with; it's small with a narrow and small footprint. More weight and a higher lift reveal its stability problems very quickly. The long neck can be removed.
