## Description

From the manufacturer

Review: Good product I started use it on my recently buyNAS Asustor - The Corsair Vengeance SODIMM 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 memory kit is designed primarily for laptops and compact systems, but it also offers reliable compatibility with many NAS (Network Attached Storage) platforms that support DDR4 SODIMM modules. Performance & Reliability With a frequency of 3200MHz and CL22 latency, this memory strikes a balance between speed and efficiency for multitasking, file transfers, and virtualization workloads commonly found in NAS environments. While its latency is modest compared to high-performance desktop modules, stability is prioritized — an essential factor for continuous 24/7 NAS operation. NAS Compatibility Many modern NAS units from brands like Synology, QNAP, and ASUSTOR support DDR4 SODIMM upgrades, and Corsair’s modules are widely recognized for their compatibility and dependable performance. In real-world use, upgrading NAS memory with this kit can enhance: • File indexing & caching performance (faster access to shared libraries). • Smooth virtualization performance (for users running Docker containers or VMs on their NAS). • Better multitasking when running multiple apps and services simultaneously (media servers, surveillance apps, etc.). It should be noted that some NAS devices may downclock the memory to their maximum supported frequency (e.g., 2400MHz or 2666MHz). Even in these cases, stability remains excellent, and the upgrade provides a noticeable performance uplift compared to factory-installed modules. Build Quality & Support Corsair’s Vengeance line has a strong reputation for durability and consistent performance. The modules are built with high-quality ICs and undergo strict validation testing, ensuring they can handle demanding, always-on NAS workloads. Corsair also provides a limited lifetime warranty, which is reassuring for long-term deployments. Pros • Reliable upgrade for NAS systems supporting DDR4 SODIMM. • High capacity (16GB kit) supports heavier NAS workloads. • Strong brand reputation and lifetime warranty. • Improves virtualization, caching, and multitasking performance. Cons • CL22 latency is higher than performance-focused modules. • NAS devices may run at lower supported speeds than 3200MHz. • Not ECC memory (some enterprise-grade NAS may prefer ECC). ⸻ Verdict The Corsair Vengeance SODIMM 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 3200MHz CL22 kit is a dependable and effective memory upgrade for laptops and NAS systems alike. For NAS users looking to boost performance for virtualization, media streaming, or multi-service workloads, this kit provides excellent stability, solid speed, and the peace of mind of Corsair’s lifetime warranty. It’s not ECC-certified, so enterprise users may prefer ECC modules, but for home and small business NAS setups, this is a cost-effective, high-quality choice.
Review: Review of Corsair VENGEANCE Performance - The Corsair VENGEANCE Performance is excellent RAM for upgrading and overclocking a system. Installation was seamless — the modules were instantly recognized, and the system booted up on the first try. XMP profiles activated without any issues, and the memory immediately ran at the advertised speeds. Performance noticeably improved — applications open faster, multitasking feels smoother, and FPS in games stays more stable. Even under heavy loads, temperatures remain within safe limits thanks to the efficient heat spreaders. The modules have a sleek, stylish design that fits perfectly in a case with a transparent side panel. Once again, Corsair has proven it can combine build quality, stability, and high-speed performance. For gamers and content creators, this is an excellent choice.

A: Should be fine using a pair

**Q: Is this suitable for Laptop msi katana gf66 11ue?
it already has 1 stick ddr4 3200 ram 8gb.
Looking to make it 16gb 8*8**
A: It would be OK if the other stick in the MSI laptop is set to run at 3200MHz as well. Personally I would suggest buying two sticks of ram to replace the one original stick.

**Q: Is this compatible for acer nitro 5 17.3 inches?**
A: Yes

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It is Corsair ram so it had better be good!
*by E***T on 17 August 2023*

Short review. Excellent memory, just buy it if it is what you need! Longer (mildly educational) review. As with so many things recently, the memory market is flooded with cheap RAM sticks from brands you have not heard of (nor me and I know my way round IT!) with outstanding reviews and excellent pricing. Save yourself some money and DO NOT buy those. The chances of the memory doing what it should, at the speeds it should and without (frequently weird) issues for the foreseeable future, are about the same as winning a sizeable amount on the lottery! Corsair have been in the computer market for a long time and make some seriously good stuff. Frequently that stuff is also blinkin' expensive! RAM is one of those areas where actually paying a little more over the other stuff is a good idea. Aside of Corsair, Samsung, Crucial and Kingston are also highly recommended. Choosing the correct RAM for your computer is not difficult. I recommend the Crucial system checker. It is a tiny program you download from the Crucial website (perfectly safe) and it will scan your system and tell you what memory you need - while telling you how much it costs from them directly. I recommend just making a note of the information and searching on Amazon as the prices are generally better. This particular purchase was for a work colleague's laptop, which was struggling to be effective with just 8gb RAM. Now, while you can run Windows 10 with 8gb RAM, it runs a whole lot more smoothly with 16gb. Don't even bother trying to run Windows 11 with 8gb unless you want to practice your stress management techniques! Installation was simple. Most laptops above very basic models, have 2 RAM slots and just one used. It is almost always found on the underside of the laptop and will simply require undoing 1 or 2 screws to remove the section covering the RAM. If unsure, youtube will be your friend here. It will only fit 1 way round and just a gentle push should have the clips on each side lock into place. I should add - please power down your laptop first! :) Once fitted, the laptop immediately detected it and booted up as normal. Colleague has since commented "it is like having a new laptop where I can do lots of things at once!" Thanks for reading and I hope you found this useful. :)
