This necklace was created by me from a library card catalog entry for the first edition of "Recherches sur les substances radioactives" ("Research on Radioactive Substances"), Marie Curie's 1903 doctoral thesis. The work was judged by Curie's committee as contributing more to scientific knowledge than any previous thesis project, and Curie would go on to become one of the greatest scientists in history - the only person to win two Nobel Prizes in two different sciences! The necklace features a circle pendant measuring 1 inch (25mm across). It comes in a silver-colored finish, with a matching 24 inch long (61cm) vintage style chain that closes with a lobster clasp.
