**Q: Can these hooks be used outdoors on a deck for towels?**
A: The hook is really SMALL for effectively hanging towels on. They often end up on the floor.

**Q: Can they be painted white?**
A: Absolutely. I painted mine turquoise and they've held up for about a year with no paint coming off. We use them to hang wet towels in the bathroom so if they hold up to that I think they'll hold up to just about any hanging need.

**Q: Does it stick on the wall with 3M tape?**
A: I could, but I would not hang anything with much weight..

**Q: how do the hooks mount to a wall?**
A: You will need nails or screws. They are visible, so you may want to choose a colored set.

These are very nicely made and very heavy duty even though they are decorative. They also have a really nice paint job on them. I do wish they had the option to have one worthy tail is curling left because these also make cool hangers in craft projects. I would like to string something between two of them.
