I use these regularly plugged into my work computer for music and noise isolation during the work day.Pros:Nice build quality and nice wooden housing. I am not sure that the wood adds that much to the performance, but it looks good!Good bass punch. On the right types of music (pop, rock, Broadway) these headphones sound really nice. The bass is surprisingly powerful for such a small earbud.Excellent sound isolation. Once you get these to fit well, they block a lot of background noise. I often have people approach me at work without me realizing it when I have both earbuds in my ears. While this could be great for a bus or subway, the potential downside as a pedestrian or cyclist is obvious.Good fit. I can’t wear a lot of earbuds because of the shape of my ears. However, I was able to find the right tips in this set that allow the earbuds to stay in my ear canal and rarely move. Even when drinking or eating, they tend to stay put. These are the first earbuds I have been able to use comfortably without a hook over my ear to hold them in place.Cons:The bass-heavy response means that the sound can get muddy at times. If an album is mixed to be very bass-heavy (some hip-hop or EDM, for example), then these headphones can cause the bass to overpower and even distort the rest of the music. Further, acoustic and folk music isn’t reproduced as authentically as is desired with these.The wires do cause a decent amount of noise when touched or dragged across fabric. For use at my desk, this isn’t a problem. I am not sure I would like them in a gym where I would be moving constantly.Conclusion:While these aren’t the cheapest headphones you can find on Amazon, they do tend to perform really well. There are other brands that appear to be similar form to these, and while I can’t say that they are identical, I also don’t feel like I got a bad deal in buying the LSTN brand. Plus, the charitable function of the LSTN brand at least makes me feel good about doing business with them! ### ⭐⭐⭐ Nice pair. Just not for me. *by L***. on Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2015* These are certainly better than anything that comes with a device. I like the wood enclosure, and general design. The small covers are too small and the medium ones are slightly too big for my ears. They fit snugly with the medium, but aren't too uncomfortable. They come with a nice carry case as well as three sizes of silicone sleeves. I wish they made a pair without a mic, as I don't use it. Additionally, the jack is at an angle, which may be preferred for some, but gets in the way more than a right angle jack would. Overall, they are a very attractive pair of earbuds with all the accessories I could image one needing.My biggest complaint is that they are very bass heavy. Granted, I listen to electronic music predominantly. The bass is so strong that I'll be ordering a pair of my previous earbuds again.If you find you need more bass from earbuds, however, you may want to give these a go. They are quite loud and there is plenty of bass. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome earbuds from an awesome company *by R***Y on Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2017* I purchased these 6 months ago on Amazon for my daughter who is incredibly hard on earbuds. I've bought cheap ones that she would break every few days and slightly nicer ones that would last a couple of weeks. After doing some research, I decided to give the LSTN Avalons a try. Everything I read said they had great sound, but my main reason was for the 1-year warranty. The first set lasted 2 months, a record for my kid!!! I emailed LSTNs customer support and was stunned at how awesome they were. I didn't have to send back the old ones and had the new ones in 2 days.The second set lasted 4 months. I was seriously impressed. I'm not sure what she does to these things, but she also manages to break phones regularly. I sheepishly contacted customer service again, and again received exceptional service. I was told as long as it was within their warranty period, no worries!! Two days later, brand new earbuds. The sound is amazing, and the customer service is unmatched. After checking out their website, I was also impressed to learn that for every product sold, LSTN donates money to help people get hearing aids in countries around the world.I'm so glad I bought these, and already know what I will be getting for people on my Christmas list this year.
