The outside appears to be a rugged nylon fabric. The zippers are strong and work flawlessly. The inside of the case has compartments that fit my Omron 7450 unit perfectly. Oh! and did I mention that the inside is totally lined in a soft velvet type material? I know that when I travel my machine is fully protected! What more do you want? Don't hesitate! Buy it! One last mention. Because the compartment for the monitor is a custom fit, I realized I never have to remove the unit from the case! Imagine that! I leave the hose from the cuff connected to the monitor and just have to remove the cuff from the case. This prevents accidental dropping of the monitor and getting fingerprints all over it! Stays permanently in the case!!
