Simple Key Programmer & Key Fob for Select Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Volkswagen Vehicles (Interchangeable 5 & 7 Button keypads)

All the buttons on my keypad had stopped working except the lock button, I tried a new keypad with the old circuit board hoping it was just the key pad getting old. When that did not work I saw this product with good review and thought it was work a try considering the dealer wanted $460. Glad there were videos online to look at as I was following the written instructions and things worked a little different then the way the manual indicated. First the step indicates when the panic and lock buttons are pressed simultaneously a light will appear under the panic button. Well I could not see a light at all, so I went online to view a video on how to use it for my Chrysler Town & Country and found out the light may appear in the center of the keypad, which is where my light was on the key fob. The light is blue and small, in the sunlight it was hard to see so I put the sunshade up and that helped a lot. The rest of the steps worked just as indicated in the manual. I'm very happy with the results I now have a fully functioning key fob again and can open all the doors, including the rear hatch from at least 20 feet away. I am going to purchase another key and program a spare incase my wife's key fob stops working. Great product - I would purchase again. New fob is on the left old fob right.Update: May 22, 2024. Ordered 2 additional keys, only one arrived so I contacted Tom's Customer Service - they were great and shipped out the second key immediately. I was surprised also to find a hand written not in the package apologizing for the mixup with the first shipment being short a key. It is awesome to have good caring customer service. I programed the new keys with no issues and so I have one in case my wife's original key fails and a spare.

I purchased this kit to create a replacement and some spares for our 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan. I ran into some trouble when I was trying to clone our original key settings, but a quick call to customer service was all it took!The tech was friendly, responsive, and most importantly - very quick to diagnose the problem and recommend a solution. She advised that I turn off the radio and all the other vehicle accessories (A/C, wipers, etc.) as those sometimes interfere with loading the code onto the new key. That was all it took to get me through it and the keys are working great!The keys do seem to be made of lighter material than our factory original, however I know that heavy does not always mean stronger. So far these are holding up just fine.I was able to get this tool to work with keys from other vendors as well (I wanted more keys than what comes with this kit, and our van has a different button configuration than the ones in this kit) so that was also a big win.So I'd say 9/10. Quality of the keys could probably be a wee bit better, but if I needed to I'd buy these again without hesitation.

Waited a few months before actually trying to do this for fear that it would screw up the one working FOB and I wouldn't be able to drive the vehicle anymore (without calling a lock smith). Glad to say that this fear was not warranted and the process was straight forward and easy. Read the instructions (multiple times) and then followed them...it worked! Haven't had an issue since. Also, I like the fact that if I need this function again on this vehicle, I can just get another key fob and won't have to purchase the programming module again. This was a concern of mine because the actual circuit board in my original 2011 Durango is what failed in the previous key FOB. Overall, excellent product and experience for me!

The whole process took less than 5 minutes for our 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan. We bought a second key from another seller that is the 5 button as we dont have remote start. Took just a couple of minutes at most and the key FOB works perfectly!! We live in a smaller town and have not yet had the master key cut but we are super happy with the results! Saved us over $300 at a dealer for one key FOB

So easy to do I had seen a video on YouTube showing how to do it and recommending this product. The key seems a little lightweight as far as the plastic quality, but this is great and it also programs some of the keys that are recommended by people that purchase this product you don’t have to spend $44 a key by the ones from simple Key you can get the ones that are two for $24. Next step is to get the included backup key cut to unlock the door in case you have a dead battery.

I was very skeptical about this not working but following a youtube video made the whole process very easy. My original keyfob's buttons stopped working but my key's chip still worked so it was super annoying having to take out the driver's door key to unlock it and listen to the alarm go off as I quickly go put my key into the ignition.Programming took about 5 minutes, my packaging didn't bring a booklet but it brought a card with a QR code that directs you to a PDF of the booklet and it would also help to read to so that you know what code you need for your vehicle. I made sure my programmer was not tampered with, please make sure the void sticker that comes attached to the programmer's OBD plug is still intact or you might need to return it.I'll follow up on this review if anything goes wrong within a week or two.

The only thing that I disliked is the button battery was dead when it arrived. I replaced and all was great

Great product and does work great is the best thing I have used for programming a car key . My original truck key it did stop working and couldn’t get to lock my truck but to start the truck it did work fine, anyway I have the programmed key control followed the instructions and I had a new key now the work correctly, but also repair my other key fod so now I have 2 working keys .

Followed the instructions exactly and a new FOB was added and works perfectly. I was confused by the "light on remote will blink" since I do not have any original keys with said lights, but this one does have a tiny light on the face of the remote close to the middle. I also had a new OEM FOB that I had already purchased from the dealership (did not know about this Simple Key before), but with that, I was able to proceed directly to step 2 and successfully programmed that OEM key as well. Highly recommend since new OEM keys are $275 CAD and programming is $60 CAD per FOB.....

Unfortunately, the key fob did not work for us. An error message indicated that it had already been used. We have returned this item for a refund. Very disappointing as we have only one key for our vehicle.
