They are skin tight on me, which is what I wanted so I could wear them under my dresses and very long tunic tops with my knee and ankle boots. I do not dry mine when I wash them. Since I am short, I can pull mine up very high to cover all of my unwanted "curves" in my torso area. ;) You could probably go with either size since the have a lot of stretch.
