Very good *by L***T on November 14, 2024* Not much to say, this is the best Okonomiyaki sauce on the market ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Delicious *by R***. on March 28, 2024* Love this stuff.Not our usual brand so wanted to try it we will purchase again very tasty . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A bit sweeter than American BBQ. *by K***. on April 19, 2022* Okonomiyaki sauce is often compared to American BBQ for comparison, and while it's true that there are some definite similarities (texture, smokiness, savoriness, etc.) it's actually quite different. Namely in that it is much sweeter. This is almost candy like. A little goes a long way. I was quite surprised, because Japanese sweets and desserts are often far less sweet. I figured that this would be as sweet or less sweet than what I was used to.Here's what we used it for:We took packages of Shin Black ramen- the good stuff. YES. It's worth it. It's so much better than the top ramen you're used to. We boiled it just until the noodles separated (like 2 minutes), drained, rinsed in cold water, and put through a salad spinner. We then dried them out on a baking sheet on the counter for 30 minutes, and stir fried in a little bit of oil until they began to change colors and crisped up a bit. We then added a couple dashes of soy sauce, and a few dashes of the seasoning packet, some grilled green onions, tender chicken, a scrambled egg, some cabbage and thinly shaved carrots, and bell peppers. We served our stir fried ramen topped with Okonomiyaki sauce and Kewpie mayo. And let me tell you, my friends. Best. Stir fry. EVER.
