Can anyone tell me the real weight? Thx.** A: The actual product is quite light. So I’d say it was a little over a pound. And of you take into consideration the weight of packing something in a way it dose not get damaged, I can see it adding another pound and half to the total packaging weight. Makes sense don’t you think? Hope this helps. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Even, steady flow of steam *by A***R on April 13, 2019* I'm really happy that I got this sleek, high-end steamer. I was hesitant to pay full price for this since there are many, much cheaper, and much more compact, handheld travel steamers out there. I had a cheaper $18 steamer for a couple years, and I ended up using it so much that I thought it might be worth it to try a better one. The other steamer sputtered out water droplets onto my floor when steaming (I would have to lay a bath towel down on the floor), and got a little buildup of minerals and stuff on the inside between steamings (easily removed with citric acid and water, but it was still an added step). But overall, it pretty much got the job done. I had heard a few reviews saying this Steamery steamer is much better than the $18 ones. I finally bit the bullet, and I'm so glad I did.The steam is less strong, but so even and so steady, you can really see the wrinkles releasing as you steam instead of mostly just seeing the steam lines, and no sputtering of water droplets onto the floor. The tip to steam from the inside of the garment really helps! I like that you can use this kinda like an iron with the large metal plate, because it helps with thicker fabrics or more stubborn wrinkles.The 6 minute steaming time capacity is fine. Because it's a little bit more enjoyable to steam, I steam a bit more often and so only have to do a few garments at a time - less than 6 minutes. There's no "cool-down" time needed to refill the water if needed, since the water container is integrated into the handle. The handle is comfortable to hold and functionally designed, but might get too heavy if you were holding it for a long time and raising your arm up and down to steam for much longer than that. There are a few pauses needed (the light turns orange after steaming for a minute), but then it turns green right away, within a few seconds, and you can steam again. The initial warm up time is very fast, too.I've traveled with the steamer and it does take quite a bit of space in a continental carry-on, but because it's so easy to set up and works so effectively, I've actually enjoyed traveling with it (to remove any odors from my garments before meetings from my suitcase or that hotel smell or from airplane travel). Just gives me an extra boost of confidence in feeling a bit more fresh and put together. The heat-resistant travel bag that it comes with is really handy for packing this up and not having wires hang out in my suitcase. The instructions say that you can use it as a mitten to hold your clothing as you steam, but I just steam without it, and I also haven't really felt the need to use the attachment yet.This is worth the extra money if you steam frequently. If you don't, the cheaper one might be sufficient to meet your needs. But as someone who doesn't like to iron, wants to lower dry cleaning frequency, takes gently used clothes to consignment or donation shops, and travels for meetings often, it has been a real treat to have this steamer.Full disclosure: These are my honest opinions of the pros and cons of this steamer from my experience of using it and other steamers. The store noted they'd credit a small percentage of my purchase if I left an honest Amazon review as they get started as an Amazon seller. The note also thanked me for my purchase, and the sellers noted that they're available to answer any questions about the product, which was nice. ### ⭐ Beautiful design, poor function….. buyer beware! *by L***O on September 29, 2022* I purchased this steamer for travel and was very surprised how heavy it was to pack so I decided not to take it along. I tried it 2-3 times and thought it did an OK job but definitely not like an iron would do. I went to use it again a few months later and the steamer would not heat up. Since Amazon will only accept returns within 30 days (I have had the iron for under 4 months) I could not replace or return this faulty product. Also the Steamery company apparently will not support their products if not bought directly even though the steamer has a 1 year warranty.
