And is it all one big long section of 24 feet, or can you cut it?** A: This set includes 24 linear feet of stainless steel spikes that measure 4.5" deep (for 5" effective depth coverage), sent as 12 two-foot linear segments. So if you are getting them for narrow surfaces, yes, they will do he trick.If it is a larger surface you want to protect, you need to think of a combination of deterrents: spikes for the railings, the pitch machine for flat surfaces, and mesh/ chicken wire for nooks and crannies where they might roost.
