I bought this years ago and finally got around to taking it apart. While not full tang, the blade does screw into a steel shaft that runs the length of the grip to the attachment for the lug. Admittedly, my expectations were low. I cannot say how strong the connection is from the blade to the internal shaft. Review: For the price, not a bad *replica*, but not a mil-spec bayonet. It’s a wall hanger. - This is a replica item, not of the same quality as original USA manufacture. The M10 scabbard is not a milspec M10 scabbard, even though it has typical military manufacture markings and looks and works great. The knife looks solid, heck even looks better than the new mil-spec knives I have. It is not sharpened however, even at the point. I’ve not sharpened it, and may never do so, so I can’t judge the steel. The fit of the knife is loose around the flash hider, so the mounted knife has more play in it than the mil-spec knife. That’s its most annoying aspect for me. You don’t use this knife as a field knife, heck you don’t want to use the mil-spec one either for field work, it’s a bayonet. Sole purpose is to be “pointy” and stick people. For a wall hanger, which is my purpose, it’s great for the money. As a field knife, it’s not as useful. My rating is based upon the look and feel and mostly the price point of the knife. A genuine M7 bayonet with scabbard will set you back perhaps $150 give or take. Also: sundry 14" barrel carbines. (It is a bad fit on commercial 16" barrel clone M4 carbines). If your DPMS Panther Oracle has the standard Milspec flash hider and A-style font sight with bayonet lug (in other words, an A1 or A2 clone) it will mount. If it sports a commercial flash hidder and or an after-market gas block, then no, I wouldn't waste the fifty bucks on an anachronism. **Q: Will it fit a 590A1?** A: It will fit any rifle with the standard M16/M4/AR15 type bayonet lug.
