Some kind of rubber insert might have helped. Magnet strength and the removable glue pad strength are both fine for this purpose. Probably not suitable to tidy up computer cables that are heavier and thicker.

**Q: Hi, silly question but is the magnet in the clip itself or the holder? Wondering if I could use these on my new metal desk without the holder part.**

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best cable holder I tried

Tried a couple of similar products in the past and they always lost adhesion after a couple of weeks, however this one is still solid after 2 months and a couple of place changes. It takes a bit of effort to remove it but it shows how good the adhesive is, it didn't leave any mark. Magnets also solid. Great product.
