Works great for holding fly fishing rod. I used the strap-onrod holders on an individual fishing pontoon. Solid, good quality, adjustable.

It's just what I needed. If I could change something it would be an adjustment for allow the rod holder to be turned so that the rod would be stored angling from front to back rather than side to side. Not that it's a problem, but I would prefer that. Overall it fit my pontoon boat perfectly and is very sturdy. All of the parts fit and work well.

When fly fishing from a tube, this item is extremely useful. When landing a fish, I bring the fish in as close as possible, then stow the rod. This frees up my hands to remove the hook. Also, when changing leaders, tippets, or flies, it helps to have something to hold the rod steady. I find this model to be well designed and built, and attaches easily to my tube. I highly recommend this for anyone who fly fishes from a tube.
