**Q: Will this work for a door that is 1 3/4" thick?**
A: No it will not. My doors were 1 1/2 and they did not fit. Max is 1 3/8. I will use the kit for something else thou.

**Q: Can the track be cut down to fit 38in opening?**
A: Yes  I was able to cut mines down to a 36-inch opening with a saw that cuts metal
