My wife is able to view, from the basement, who is at the garage door which in on the opposite side of the house. She can then use the door unlock feature to let the parents into the garage, before running all the way up the stairs and to the other side of the house. The video quality is good and you can easily identify who is at the door. This unit also allows you to talk to and hear what the people outside are saying. The quality of this product is great. The screen is a nice simplistic design and does stick out from the wall very far. The outdoor camera unit is enclosed in a metal housing which protects it from what ever mother nature or kids may throw at it. We also like the fact that there is a lit window in the outdoor camera unit, that allows you to put your name or some other text in it. The relay built into the master is a Normally Open contact and wont handle "Maglocks", so an external relay like the RY-18L would be needed. **Q: i have a daycare, i need to have security for parent entering. Will this product work for me** A: This will work if as long as you just need to communicate via video and audio.
