A: The material rusts after the first use and wash. Do not even bother

A: It's 4 5/8 inches.

**Q: has anyone felt like this wok is too small?**
A: the wok is rather large and well made. I am in Thailand now and it seems to be the same pan many street venders here use. I have use my wok many times. It has performed better than the cook.
