It doesn't smell toxic and gets most stains out as well as other stain-remover products I've used. I've used it on stains on clothing that has already been through the washer and dryer and most of them come out, which is great. Some improve but do not come out completely, others it might take a couple of washes to work. The good and somewhat not-so-good news: The only small issue I have is with the dispenser. It is just a cardboard tube that you push the cylinder of sticky stuff through with your finger or hold in with your finger, but at a certain point when it gets smaller with use, you can't use the dispenser at all and just have take it out of the tube and use your hands without the tube.
