A: No it does not stand. You’ll have to place it on the counter or keep holding it

A: TWO TYPES

A: I believe you would need to purchase a bread maker if you wanted to ensure that dough rises properly. Alternatively you can make dough by hand. I haven't tried to use this for making dough and perhaps do a review of the item online through the Kenwood website to check if it meets your requirements. Hope that helps!
