To be honest, I think I like it more than she does but she's 3 so clearly she can't appreciate the genius of this toy yet. I can't get over how cute and well detailed the pieces are. Just adorable! Kids with big imaginations should have hours and hours of fun. The book that comes with it is well written & illustrated and is my daughter's favorite part of the kit right now.The Bad: Some might find the assembly tedious, but I enjoyed it. I thought it was made of wood but it's foam covered on each side by hard stickers which unfortunately can be peeled off without too much trouble, and they also sometimes get stuck in the assembly holes, so delicate handling is a must. I definitely don't think this would stand up to repeated assembly, especially by a child (the foam can bend and some of the holes were a tight fit from the get-go). We keep ours assembled on a shelf. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ So many wonderful components -- a great toy but I wonder how durable. *by Q***A on Reviewed in the United States on December 26, 2015* I ordered this for my son for Christmas and waited in anticipation to see him playing with it because he is into both farms and puzzles. There are so many great things about this set. First, I love that it engages kids in both building and fantasy play. I love the literacy component too, even though it is a simple story. The suitcase to store and carry the toy is also a wonderful aspect of the set. Lastly, I really appreciate that the farm comes with a garden: corn, tomatoes, and sunflowers to plant since so many of the other farm sets only emphasize animals.All the components are made from a sturdy brown foam with the designs affixed to either side. This is one of the potential problems. As I was assembling it for the first time, the glossy thick paper that inserts into the slots to assemble started to pull apart from the foam. I wish that these parts pf the toy that fit into the slots were reinforced with plastic. I think as my children continue to play with it and assemble it without rough play some of the designs will rip off, which is a shame since they are so nice. Also, the red handle on the suitcase keeps on slipping out of the slots, so it's a bit hard to carry. Again, I appreciate not using plastic -- I really do -- but I wish that the handle was strong enough to carry it.As an educator I really love this toy and I am happy that I purchased it for my child. However, I hope that the company continues to make small improvements that will add to the overall longevity of the toy. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The book it comes with was so bad I couldn't stop laughing *by J***K on Reviewed in the United States on January 13, 2018* 7 year old girl received this for her birthday. We weren't overall impressed with the art, but that wasn't particularly important - it's whimsical enough. The book it comes with was so bad I couldn't stop laughing. It's more like a board game rule book giving ideas for how to play farm in the form of a very boring story that has no plot.The overall design of the set is great, it's fun to put together and everything fits well. The pieces are made of hard foam which reminds me of high quality board game pieces, and playing with it was a similar experience except there were no "game rules." (Unless the terrible story book counts.) It's kind of like buying Mouse Trap just to put the trap together for fun.The only problem we had was the paper peeling off of the foam when we pushed the pieces together, especially pieces like the animals' feet, vegetables, and fences. This happened to a small extent with just a few pieces, so altogether, still a good toy that will last...as long as its played with gently.
