I bought these because I have an Apple Watch 6 and wanted a budget pair of wireless buds that I could use for working out and general listening. I plan to buy some AirPods Pro eventually, but I like to have a budget backup set to start with when buying expensive earphones just because I like to have a "beater" set that I can throw in a bag and not worry about like I would a $250 set.But I was surprised by how good these are. In terms of the sound quality here, the highs are crisp, the mids are solid, and the bass is acceptable (although not impressive, so don't expect it to satisfy people who love lots of bass), which is surprising given the smaller driver size and price.At first, I put on the smallest size of eartips since that I what I usually wear, but I couldn't hear hardly any bass at all. Then I realized that the bass is actually much better with the mid-sized eartips for me because you really need that in-ear seal for the bass to work.In terms of design, I really like the minimalist aesthetic. The case is easy to pocket, has a battery life indicator, snaps open and closed in a satisfying way, and feels well-made. Best of all, it does wireless charging.The touch controls on the earbuds themselves work well for me. If anything, they are overly sensitive, so I haven't had any issues getting them to do what I want them to do. Honestly they're more responsive than the touch pads on my Sony WH-1000XM3s.Pairing them and getting them set up is easy for the first connection you make, but it's not easy to use them with multiple devices, the pairing process seems to really only work well if you are using them on one item. But pairing them with a new item is fine as long as you have about a full minute to kill.I haven't run the batteries all the way down yet, it's just so easy to charge them. But based on the depletion rate, the battery is more than enough for the average person. I can't imagine needing more than this.Honestly, the more I use them, the more I question the value of buying AirPods. I would love to have that easy transition from device to device that Apple does so well, but honestly I don't know if that makes the extra dollars worth it. I am sure the AirPods have better sound quality as well, but comparing these to the decent headsets I already have, I can't imagine that is worth the premium either. That being the case these earbuds destroy that theory!!! I was the first to question the 91% 5 star rating thinking these reviews have to be bought. Then as I read through them I began to feel there might be something to all these glowing reviews. I received them this afternoon and charged them to 100% and then tried them on my iPad. Right off the bat syncing them was ZERO issues it took about 2 seconds. Now the real test how do they sound???? I am seriously blown away at how good they are. The highs are crisp and clean, the mids are smooth and precise and the bass is excellent!
