Thoroughly enjoy this purchase ### ⭐ Worried broken power supply might catch fire *by M***T on Reviewed in the United States on December 8, 2018* Update: 2nd power supply brick only lasted 4 months before it started randomly changing colors. Argh. Do not buy these if you want them to last long.After 6 months of use, well below the 50,000 hour threshold advertised on the box, my strip started randomly changing colors like being controlled by some type of poltergeist. Eventually the lights never came back on full strength and started quickly flashing like a bad fluorescent bulb to the point I thought it might trigger a seizure. This happened no matter how many new batteries I put in the remote and pushed the button to dim them back to them up to full strength. The remote continued to allow me to change the colors so I know the remote wasn’t the issue but just wouldn’t allow the lights on full strengthen and made them flash like a dying fluorescent bulb and not the pretty flashing modes they used to flash in. Since I bought three units, I switched out the power supply with a new unit and the lights worked full strength again and stopped changing colors and randomly flashing. Now I’m out a power supply on a 50,000 hour LED light unit. The lights look great but I’m afriad the old power supply might catch fire since it’s doing wonky things and running warm. There is no way I could have damaged it since it been siting on top of a row of kitchen cabinets I literally have to climb a ladder to even touch since I installed the lights. I’m in a one person household and there is no way anyone else broke the unit. All I can guess is the power supply is defective. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Lights good, adhesive bad, red/blue can invert *by J***M on Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2017* The LEDs are good -- bright, vibrant colors, good spectral range.However, don't expect the adhesive to stick that well; I tried sticking the strip to my wall (vertical) and ceiling (upside-down), and it only stuck for about a few hours before completely falling off due to gravity. You'll want to use something else to stick it more permanently (maybe glue, duct tape, strong double-sided tape, etc.) or place it on the ground.Also, somehow, after about 24 hours of operation, the red/blue components inverted (green stayed the same). So that means all the preset colors on the remote are basically useless now because they're inaccurate, and I had to re-do all my custom DIY colors by switching the red/blue values around. Of course, white is fine and 100% of just red, green, or blue is also fine as long as you remember that after inversion, Red=Blue and Blue=Red (think BGR instead of RGB). The other modes like fade also aren't too impacted by this, but it's quite inconvenient and definitely a flaw, especially after occurring only a day after I started using the strip.Lastly, the remote control is functional but pretty directional i.e. needs to be pointed directly towards the IR receiver, and lacking any sort of current value indicator makes it difficult to be precise about exact RGB values and the brightness level -- you just kinda have to go by what you see (or do crazy stuff like take a photo and inspect in Photoshop or something LOL)EDIT (May 18, 2017): So the red/blue components inverted again, which means it's back to normal now (YAY) but then all my DIY custom colors are messed up again (AWW), and I had to reset them ONCE AGAIN.
