It has a great post shave feel. The lathering is effortless. etc. That said, this smells like a drugstore soap. Kind of like the rare green aqua velva. I prefer literally every other scent offered by Saponificio Varesino. The best thing going for this is, it's mega cheap for a SV soap shipped. Most soaps last about 6-8 months before they disappear. I am on month 9 of this soap and have used about 20%. It foams easily with very little water and leaves a silky coating on your face for the razor to slide over. As far as functionality goes, this is the best soap that I've used. You must try Saponificio Verisino shave soaps! I have used a large variety of both commercial (D.R. Harris, Penhaligon's, Geo Trumper) as well as many artisan soaps and to my face nothing comes close. The glide and cushion is so good I have to really try to nick myself using their soaps. The feel is so good you almost want to stop and check and make sure you have a blade in the razor. The post shave feel is also excellent with no drying effects.
