We spent a lot of time researching weather this was good for my husband's magnificent beard and decided to give it a go. My husband's beard is long and thick and amazing, but sometimes it does get a bit dry and itchy or scratchy. This is a great fix.First off this is not a tiny bottle of oil, it is large enough that I am hopeful that it will last. The bottle is a nice dark amber color to protect the herbal oils inside and keep the quality over time.There are directions on the bottle for amount to use, but no mention of how often to do so. This bothers us a little though we realize that each person will have their own tolerance for the oils. We are still seeing how much it can take, but 2 - 3 times a day seems about right to us.There could be some informative package inserts with more information on how to use it for first time users.With the first application there was a visual difference, immediately shine and color were enhanced. The scent is fresh, manly, and in our case changes drastically from sniffing the bottle, to harmonize with his natural scent creating a smell we know is unique to him. This is a bonus because it's nice to smell good and not smell commercial at the same time as well as to not be overpowered by perfumes.The oil blend is bright and clear with the bare hint of golden tone to it. A little bit goes a long way, but if you have a glorious face bear like my husband do expect to use a substantial amount. Over these first days of use his beard has grown softer not only to tactile impression, but whereas before use the beard was strong and stiff, moving in a clump when touched, and being unaffected by wind, or the movements of his head; it now has a certain level of flow to it, hanging lower and being more responsive to stimulus like those mentioned. I can get my fingers into it much easier, with less snagging, it slides better.There is no overly oily feeling with this treatment, I was concerned that there might be, but the feeling left by direct contact with the oil is more silky than oily in our opinion. It soaks right into the hair not leaving a mess and the beard remains touchable.Facial skin feels soft, no issues with blemishes or any kind of irritation.We really enjoy this beard oil and would definitely purchase it again at full price. I did get this at an incredible discount in return for taking the time to give an honest and unbiased review of the product.
