Review: Great starter set for anyone looking to play Go - At this price point, the YMI Go set is very good. The board is very solid and the grid is etched to add a lovely tactile feel to games. I really appreciate that it has 19x19 on one side and 13x13 on the other. The felt carrying case is a nice touch to avoid damage when travelling. The bamboo bowls for holding the stones are a lot better than the usual plastic ones you get with this type of set and are a welcome bonus. The stones are the only slight downside as they are plastic and very lightweight. If you go for the double convex ones then they can wobble for a second or two after placing them on the board which doesn't feel very satisfying but again, at this price point, you cannot expect to be getting high quality stones. They do the job. Overall, I am very happy with the purchase. I will be saving up to buy some Yunzi Go stones to replace the plastic (melamine) ones and then the set will be perfect.

At this price point, the YMI Go set is very good. The board is very solid and the grid is etched to add a lovely tactile feel to games. I really appreciate that it has 19x19 on one side and 13x13 on the other. The felt carrying case is a nice touch to avoid damage when travelling.
