Small side inside big side. Just use a narrow tool to poke the sides in tight. We used the tiny screwdriver which comes with it. I didn't use the silver metal ring which came with it, i just put my own key ring back through the key plus silver shell and back on my ring of keys as it was before. The teeny tiny screwdriver is sweet. It looks GORGEOUS !! Bit bigger/fatter than it was obvs, but flashy silver. Sits nicely in the hand and the buttons on the key are still easy to push.
