Luckily, our security camera notified us there had been a delivery, so I brought it in right away. I was shocked to see it in a small padded envelope, while other things I’ve ordered from Amazon that aren’t breakable arrive in boxes with bubble wrap. The ink’s box was slightly damaged as you can see in the photos, which is a shame, as I always keep ink boxes. If it had been in a box it would have been better protected. The ink itself is very sheer to look at and you wonder how it will look on paper, but I inked up a Cross Townsend Medalist, medium nib, and it behaves well on Rhodia paper (80 g/m2). I don’t see an awful lot of shading, and the colour is more orange than red, though the sample photos of the colour are true to life in the Amazon photos that are shown with the ink on the purchase page. It would be nice to have more shading to this ink in a medium nib, but I’ll try it in a vintage flex and compare. Overall, a pleasing ink, but similar to a Kaweco Sunrise Orange ink I have. If you’re looking for a reddish ink, keep in mind that this is definitely a deep orange, and definitely the colour of persimmons.
