It's like a floaty blob attached to the bottom, it isn't angular and seems pretty comfortable. If your little one can sit in a high chair, they would probably be comfy in this, too, attended. **Q: Does this have to be deflated after each use or just drained?** A: We haven't deflated it since we first inflated it and it holds up really well. I just rinse it off and hook it on the shower curtain widget (mine are reverse U shape with knobs on the end..intended to hold up dual curtains) using the little hanging loop the bathtub has on the bottom. About once a week, we use a clean scrubby and dish soap to scrub and clean it. It’s awesome because we live in a small place and don’t have a bathtub, just a standup shower, which as you could imagine, can cause for difficulty bathing two small children. This is perfect for him to sit in and still has plenty of room to play with toys. Also love that there’s a drain on the bottom of it.
