I've placed this 19" Flame Genie as an access point on my back patio area. I didn't want a fire pit as I didn't want the smoke and smell that comes with it. After just three uses the Flame Genie has a large rust ring at the top. I purchased and only used the hardwood pellets as instructed. It's summer time and there has been next to no exposure to weather in the brief period of time that the rust showed up.I posted an earlier comment about the rust to the retailer in hope that they would make contact and offer a resolution. There has been no communication from the retailer to this point.Bad product, cheap rusting steel material and an unresponsive retailer.Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED. It's really too bad as the smokeless fire pit concept is good.
