The effect in the ice was cool. I had doubts about being waterproof, but they were fine. Also, we put one in clear glass our skull to give it some cool glowing effects. I have inserted a grid of that, a long with one of it's colors showing in their true look (tried to get it as accurate as possible. The only downside is the yellow LED looks a bit green, and pink & purple seem to not be what they should be, so I have labeled the innacurate colors to avoid confusion. But for the price, really great! They are quite large, so dont buy these if you are planning to use them for a vase or floral arrangements....get flora-lights for that, they are very bright and last forever! However, they are not strong enough to light up walls like up-lighting...I tried that too, and failed. They need 3 "AAA" batteries, and the remote also needs a battery...they are not included. However, the remote battery is a standard LR 2032, which if nothing else you can probably take out of one of your LED tea light candles.
