Pocket Cat Coloring Book: Mini Feline Creations for Portable Relaxation and Mindfulness

This book is such a relaxing addition to my morning subway ride. I was initially pretty skeptical of the adult coloring book trend, but this book has convinced me otherwise. It's a great way to refocus my mind when I'm feeling overwhelmed or stressed out, and the cats are totally adorable. I really love the variety of patterns this book offers. I will say with the page quality and size, this only works with colored pencils--which is too bad, because I prefer coloring with markers. But for those who enjoy colored pencils, the almost meditative experience of coloring these in will definitely brighten your day. Plus it's small enough to go in a purse, which isn't true of many of the popular coloring books on the market today. This would also be great for colder kids, although the designs might be a little too complex for younger ones.

This was so fun and a nice change of pace from the uber trendy mandolin. There's nothing more that I've started to enjoy then coloring books - they are so fun! I really enjoy the diversity of the images as well as type of cats. I was expecting a bunch of kitty cats but was pleasently surprised to find lions and tigers too. You wouldn't expect that there could be so much done with coloring and cats but this coloring book definitely does a great job of diversifying the types of images you have available. Every image is a masterpiece waiting to happen.

Really like the size of this book. I use gel pens to color with. Using the gel pens makes many of the pictures difficult to color. Guess I would need colored pencils for those, they are more realistic looking. I much prefer the more graphic designs. Something where you can use more imaginative coloring. There are many like that in this book, but wish they were all like that.

This one is being returned. Some of the images are so tiny that the only way to "color" them would be to use a pointilist technique--where you fill in the sections with only a dot or two. It is also cut off-center, with the bottom page edges being about 1/4" wider than the top edges.~~I wish that the descriptions clearly stated when these coloring books are compilations of commercially available images. This coloring book is one of those, and it is not printed until someone orders it. When it arrived, it smelled strongly of printer's ink and would have had to be left outside to off-gas for several days if I were not returning it.

I have really enjoyed this small book. Easy to carry with you on a trip and something that does not take long to do.
