## Questions & Answers

**Q: can it be used to help seal cracks in heat exchangers?**
A: I might, however I would not count on this product to protect from the exhaust gases that may pass through the heat exchanger . 
If possible I would remove the cracked unit and either replace of braze up the crack.

**Q: Eletric hot water pot seam is leaking water, Can I use it to seal the seam ?**
A: Just an 80 yr old women to answer: I don't know, It was use on our free standing fireplace for the seam around the door and worked fine. You could probably get an answer from the Rutland company.

**Q: I have a crack in the glass could this be used to seal that so it doesnt crack anymore ??**
A: I doubt it but it does harden up pretty good

**Q: How long must it be heated to cure?  Is the temperature rating continuous duty?**
A: This product must slowly be brought to 500-F over the course of a few hours, and kept at 500-F for an hour.  The cement is good for temperatures up to 2,000-F continuously.  Here is a link to a video that walks you through the heat-cure.
