It rubs on easily and absorbs really well without leaving any greasy residue. I do think it helps prevent stretch marks. I'm currently 35 weeks pregnant and have no obvious stretch marks around my belly, except for some short ones that just appeared very recently at the bottom of my belly near my pubic bone area. I felt that was probably because I neglected to rub the butter on that spot since it's covered with hair. Also, the inside of the jar is cleverly designed; its bottom is curved - like a bowl - instead of the typical straight side so you get to scoop every last bit of the butter.
